Be a Fork in the Road

Missionary Jim Elliot who gave his life for the gospel in Equador said, “Father, bring those I contact to decision. Let me not be a milepost on a single road; make me a fork in the road, that men must turn one way or another when they face Christ in me.”

We should make every opportunity count when we engage non-believers. That involves having convictions, not just opinions. Understand your faith, know why you believe it, and don’t be ashamed to explain it. Compromise is squishy and makes your beliefs blend into the background like a milepost.  Be a fork in the road.
